The Problem
Operations daily production work uses lagging indicators, and scheduled work is an afterthought. There are no solutions that connect scheduled work with production issues.
Current State
Daily production work uses lagging oil & gas allocations vs. a target or the manual review of SCADA trends/alarms. Therefore, operations will not see well performance degradation until days/weeks later in the oil & gas volumes. Thus, work weighs heavily towards run to failure rather than proactive.
Scheduled work uses spreadsheets that combine user knowledge, application outputs, and word-of-mouth interactions. Scheduled work is disruptive to operations when separate from the daily production workflow. Despite this, the industry has separated the two key work categories of operations into different workflows and applications.

Daily production work should be identified using inputs rather than lagging outputs like oil and gas allocations. Performance changes created from leading indicators, like high-frequency SCADA, should be the origin of production work.
Scheduled work thoughtfully fits with daily production by existing in the same system. Whether scheduled work or daily production work, the end-user should only see a single output- “work.”
